The George and Dragon
Thomas Lacy issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in St Katherine's, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2621; Obv inscription: THOMAS.LACY.1669 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = St George and the dragon (in field); Rev inscription: IN.ST.KATHERENS (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
