The Two Sugar Loaves
William Butler, a grocer, issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business in St Katherine's, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2597; Obv inscription: WILLIAM.BVTLER.IN.S (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Two sugar-loaves joined (in field); Rev inscription: KATHERINS.GROSER (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = W.I.B. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
