Lamp, picture lamp
Incomplete type 4 ceramic picture lamp, nozzle and body fragment in four joining pieces. Part of rounded nozzle with volute mouldings; broken at the wick hole; sooting around wick hole. Only part of the body survives. Flat shoulder decorated with three concentric grooves around the border of the discus of which only a trace survives; several irregular cuts radiate from the grooves, these are probably incised rather than moulded but appear to be pre-firing; flat circular base defined by a groove; patches of sooting at shoulder. Unsourced oxidised ware (OXID).
