Glass, vessel, cup, sports cup
Fragment of a glass cup decorated with a design featuring a boxer and an athlete. Three zones of decoration. Top: lower part of three letters: ATE. Middle (from left to right): part of leg; boxer moving left, fists raised; 3-legged table, uncertain (?palm branch) above; legs of fallen athlete. Bottom (from left to right): palm wreath; pair of crossed palm branches. Boxing was a popular form of gymnastic exercise.
Technical information: Colour: natural blue. Good quality glass. Unweathered. Parts present: body. Isings form 12 variant; cylindrical shape. Technical features: mould-blown.
