Stud, cavalry harness stud
A copper alloy stud with inlaid decoration. There is a mainly coppery patina, golden at the edges. Four deeply-incised crossed arms with serifed terminals are interspersed with four fainter, stylized, foliate arms, which would have contained inlay. There is a circular-sectioned shank to the rear, lacking its point.
