Archaeology — Roman; 40-140
Stud, apron stud
Bordered stud of copper alloy with the edges slightly turned down. Its square-sectioned shank has been bent over parallel with the rear face and this has torn a semi-circular hole in the centre of the disc. The end of the shank has been bent over, indicating use. The damage to this object may be consistent with its being prised off from its original surface.
