A colourless glass bowl with a yellowish tinge. Thin, moderate quality glass with many small bubbles. Little weathering. Parts present: rim, body, base (approximately 40% reconstructed from sherds, many gaps). Technical features: probably blown (air bubbles, smooth inner surface), horizontal cutting. Cracked off, everted rim. No base ring. Two pairs of deep circular grooves on base; one deep groove on body; bands of very fine horizontal lines/abrasion above groove on body and just below rim. Two close parallels from mid/late 2nd-century graves at Braughing (Skeleton Green), Herts.
