This trade token, worth a half penny, was issued for a business in Tooley Street, Southwark.
Boyne & Williamson (1891) reference Southwark number 465; Obv inscription: SPIER.IN.ST.OLIVES.66 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALFE / PENNY / R.H.S. (in four lines of Roman capitals with triad of initials as bottom, in field); Rev inscription: STREET.SOVTHWARKE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A lion rampant within a garter (in field).
