The Boar's Head
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued for a business at the sign of the Boar's Head, in T0ooley Street, Southwark.
Boyne & Williamson (1891) reference Southwark number 418; Obv inscription: AT.THE.BORES.HEAD (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A boar's head (in field); Rev inscription: IN.SOVTHWARKE.1649 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = W.M.B. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
