The Wine Cask ?
Michael Steel issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business at the sign of the Wine Cask and Measure, in Maid Lane, Southwark.
Boyne & Williamson (1891) reference Southwark number 303; Obv inscription: MICHAEL.STEELL.AT.THE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A wine cask and measure (in field); Rev inscription: IN.MAID.LANE.SOVTHWARK (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
