Henry Crich issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in Horsly Down Lane, Southwark.
Boyne & Williamson (1891) reference Southwark number 251; Obv inscription: HENRY.CRICH.IN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY(in three lines of Roman capitals, in field); Rev inscription: HORSLY.DOWNE.LANE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A wheatsheaf H.A.C. (triad of initials in Roman capitals around sign, in field).
