Boyne & Williamson (1891) reference Southwark number 148; Obv inscription: RICHARD.SAPP.AT.BATLE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A peacock with its tail displayed (in field); Rev inscription: BRIDG.IN.SOWTHARKE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = R.S.S. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
