Boyne & Williamson (1891) reference Southwark number 53; Obv inscription: AT.THE.WATER.SPANEL (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A spaniel dog (in field); Rev inscription: IN.SOVTHWARKE.1651 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.I.I. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
