The Wheatsheaf
Thomas Railton, a baker, issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business in White Horse Street (now White Horse Road and Cble Street), in Stepney, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3497; Obv inscription: THOMAS.RAILTON.BAKER (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A wheatsheaf (in field); Rev inscription: IN.WHITHORS.STREETE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A pair of scales (in field).
