The White Cross Tavern
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued at the White Cross tavern, in Whitecross Street.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3468; Obv inscription: WHITE.CROSS.TAVERN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = T.I.S. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field); Rev inscription: WHITE.CROSS.STREETE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A cross on steps (in field).
