The Wool Comb
John Altham, a bodice maker, issued this trade token, worth a fathing, for his business in Whitecross Street.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3432; Obv inscription: IOHN.ALTHAM.B.MAKER (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A wool comb (in field); Rev inscription: IN.WHIT.CROSE.STREET (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.I.A. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
