The Still; The Tobacco Roll ?
William Chudley, a grocer, issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business in Whitechapel, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3397; Obv inscription: WILL.CHVDLEY.IN.WHITE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A still (in field); Rev inscription: CHAPPELL.GROCER (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A tobacco roll (in field).
