The Plough
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued for business at the sign of the Plough, on Wapping Wall, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3339; Obv inscription: AT.THE.PLOW.ON (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A plough (in field); Rev inscription: WAPING.WALL.1651 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = M.A.S. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
