The Jug
Timothy Raman issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business at the sign of the Jug, in Wapping Dock, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3333A; Obv inscription: TIMOTHY.RAMAN.AT.YE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A jug (in field); Rev inscription: IN.WAPIN.DOCK.166(?) (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALFE / PENY / T.E.R. (in four lines of Roman capitals with triad of initials as bottom, in field).
