The Angel Tavern
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued for at the Angel Tavern, at Tower Hill, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3201; Obv inscription: AT.THE.ANGEL.TAVERNE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = An angel holding a scroll (in field); Rev inscription: AT.TOWER.HILL.1649 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = T.D.W. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
