The Naked Boy and Truss
Cornelius Glover, a trussmaker, issued this trade token, worth a penny, for his business in Three Nun Alley.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3145; Obv inscription: CORNELIVS. GLOVER. TRVSSMAKER (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A naked boy holding a truss (in field); Rev inscription: IN. 3. NVN. ALY. NEAR. YE. OLD. POST. HOVS (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A horseman galloping and blowing a horn, below 1D (denomination in Roman capitals with sign above, in field).

Three Nun Alley, lay off Threadneedle Street, in Broad Street Ward, in the City of London. The post house was at the corner of Threadneedle Street and Cornhill, giving a more accurate location for the place of issue.
