The Sultaness Coffee House
This trade token, worth a half penny, was issued at the Sultaness Coffee House, in Sweeting's Rents, Cornhill.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3029; Obv inscription: THE. SVLTANESS. A. COFFEE. HOVSE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Veiled head of a Sultaness (in field); Rev inscription: IN.SWEETINGS.RENTS. CORNHILL (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A crossed shield with leopard's head in each quarter (in field).

Sweeting's Rents (later the Royal Exchange Buildings), lay between Threadneedle Street and Cornhill, in Broad Street Ward, in the City of London.
