The King's Head
John Dutton issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business near the Maypole, in the Strand, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2971; Obv inscription: IOHN. DVTTON. HIS. HALF. PENY (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Head of Henry VIII (in field); Rev inscription: NEARE.YE.IN.YE.STRAND (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A maypole (in field).
