The Talbot and Dragon ?
Edward Barrett issued this trade token, worth a penny, for his business at Stocks Market (later Mansion House).
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2950; Obv device: Arms, in a shield a chevron between three talbots passant, crest a dragon rampant (in field); Rev inscription: EDWARD / BARRETT / AT.STOCKS / MARKET (in four lines of Roman capitals, in field).
Stocks Market, later Woolchurch Market, then Mansion House, lay at the junction of Cornhill, Threadneedle Street, Poultry and Lombard Street, in Walbrook Ward, in the City of London, see Henry A. Harben, A Dictionary of London (London, 1918).
