Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2753; Obv inscription: PERCIVALL. TOWLE. BAKER. IN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field); Rev inscription: SCHOOLE.LANE.RATCLIFFE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = P.T.T. / 1668 (triad of initials in Roman capitals with date below, in field).
Schoolhouse Lane, lies in Ratcliffe, Tower Hamlets, having formerly been part of Stepney, Middlesex.
