The St. Thomas Apostle
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued for a business in the back side of St Thomas Apostles.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2736; Obv inscription: IN.YE.BACK.SIDE.OF (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Bust of a priest (in field); Rev inscription: ST.THO.APOSTLES (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = H.M.R. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).

St Thomas Apostles, later Little St Thomas Apostles, lay off Bow Lane, in Cordwainer Ward, and Vintry Ward, in the City of London, it was removed for the construction of the western extensino of Cannon Street, in 1865, see Henry A. Harben, A Dictionary of London (London, 1918).
