The King's Head
Robert Langhorn issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business in St Swithin's Lane.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2733A; Obv inscription: ROB.LANGHORNE.IN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Bust of Henry VIII (in field); Rev inscription: ST.SWITHINS.LANE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = R.E.L. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).

St Swithin's Lane runs south off King William Street, to Cannon Street, in Walbrook Ward, in the City of London; at the time of issue the street ran further north in to Langbourn ward, but this portion was demolished for the creation of King WIlliam Street in 1832, see Henry A.
