The Rose and Crown
John Dormer issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business at the west end of St Paul's Cathedral.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2721; Obv inscription: IOHN.DORMER.AT.YE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A rose and crown (in field); Rev inscription: WEST.END.OF.POVLES (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = 58 / I.D (initials in Roman capitals with date above, in field).
