The Three Suns
Christopher Pierson issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business in Red Cross Street (area north of Fore Street).
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2387; Obv inscription: CHRIS.PIERSON (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Three suns (in field); Rev inscription: IN.RED.CROS.STREET (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = C.M.P. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
