Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2382; Obv inscription: Phillip / Ferrers / Barret / Gurdon (in four lines of cursive script, in field); Rev inscription: IN.RED.CROSS.STREET (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = THEIR / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
Red Cross Street, ran north off Fore Street towards the Barbican, in the ward of Cripplegate Without (now Cripplegate Ward), in the City of London.
