Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2327; Obv inscription: ROBERT.ELLIS.1668 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Three men standing round a globe (in field); Rev inscription: AT.RATCLIF.CROSS (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
Ratcliffe Cross is a disctrict in Tower Hamlets, having formerly been part of Middlesex.
