The Ship Tavern
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued at the Ship tavern, in Ratcliffe Cross, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2322; Obv inscription: AT.THE.SHIPP.TAVERN (around field, in Roman capitals) = A ship (in field); Rev inscription: AT.RATLIFE.CROSSE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = W.E.B. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
