The Naked Boy
Samuel Long issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business at the sign of the Naked Boy, in Queenhithe.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2308; Obv inscription: SAMVEL.LONGE.AT (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A naked boy holding a basket (in field); Rev inscription: QVEENE.HITH.1657 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = S.M.L. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).

Queenhithe, was the name of a dock and a ward in the City of London, the ward name is still used today, and a street in the area of the dock, holds the name Queenhithe.
