The Sugar Loaf
Thomas Baker issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in Queenhithe.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2298; Obv inscription: THOMAS.BAKER.IN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A sugar-loaf (in field); Rev inscription: QVEENE.HITH.1668 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY / T.I.B. (in four lines of Roman capitals with triad of initials as bottom, in field).

Queenhithe, was the name of a dock and a ward in the City of London, the ward name is still used today, and a street in the area of the dock, holds the name Queenhithe.
