The Exchange Tavern
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued at the Exchange tavern, in Poultry, Cheap Ward, City of London.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2277; Obv inscription: THE.EXCHANGE.TAVERN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A view of the Royal Exchange (in field); Rev inscription: IN.THE.POVLTREY.1651 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = W.K (in field, in Roman capitals).
