The Wheatsheaf
Francis Harris, a baker, issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business at Pye Corner (Giltspur Street).
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2249; Obv inscription: FRANCIS.HARRIS.BAKER (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A wheatsheaf (in field); Rev inscription: AT.PYE.CORNER.HIS.1/2.PENY (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = F.M.H. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
