Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2218; Obv inscription: IEFERY.WALLETT (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A lion rampant (in field); Rev inscription: IN.PETECOTE.LANE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.M.W. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
Petticoat Lane, now Middlesex Street, lies in the City of London, having formerly been part of Whitechapel, Middlesex.
