Edmond Dobson issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in Old Change (now New Change).
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2129; Obv inscription: EDMOND.DOBSON.AT.THE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A man smoking (in field); Rev inscription: IN.THE.OVLD.CHANGE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALFE / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
