The Cock
Thomas Allin issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business at the sign of the Cock, in Mile End, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1888; Obv inscription: THOMAS.ALLIN.AT.YE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A cock (in field); Rev inscription: IN.MYLE.END.1668 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALFE / PENNY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
