The Three Tuns
William Parker, an oilman (a person who sells oil), issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in Mark Lane.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1871; Obv inscription: WILLIAM.PARKAR.1669 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Three tuns (in field); Rev inscription: OYLE.MAN.IN.MARK.LANE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY / W.K.P. (in four lines of Roman capitals with triad of initials as bottom, in field).
