The West Country Coffee House
This trade token, worth a half penny, was issued at the West country Coffee House, in Lothbury.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1837; Obv inscription: AT.THE.WEST.CVNTRY.COFFE (around field, in Roman capitals, in field) Device = I.S (in field, in Roman capitals); Rev inscription: HOVSE.IN.LOTHEBVRY (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A hand pouring coffee into a cup (in field).
