The Sugar Loaf
Edward Muns issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business at the sign of the Sugar Loaf, on London Bridge.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1760; Obv inscription: EDWARD. MVNS. AT. THE. SVGER (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A sugar-loaf (in field); Rev inscription: LOAF.ON.LONDON.BRIDGE.1668 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALFE / PENNY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
