The Salutation
This trade token, worth a half penny, was issued at the Salutation tavern, in Lombard Street.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1753; Obv inscription: AT. YE. SALVATION. IN. LOMBARD (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Two men bowing (in field); Rev inscription: STREET.HIS.HALF.PENNY (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = T.M.H. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
