John Kempster issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business in Leadenhall Street.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1671; Obv inscription: IOHN.KEMPSTER (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A vase of flowers (in field); Rev inscription: LEADENHALL.STRET (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.E.K. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
