Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1508; Obv inscription: SARAH.CLARKE.1668 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A pair of cropper's shears (in field); Rev inscription: IN.HOVNSDITCH (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HER / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
