The Queen's Head Tavern
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued at the Queen's Head tavern, at Holborn Conduit.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1413; Obv inscription: QVEEN'S.HEAD.TAVERNE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Full-faced bust of Queen Elizabeth (in field); Rev inscription: AT.HOLBORNE.COVNDID (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = E.E.H. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
