The Vintners' Arms
John Stokes issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business at Guildhall Gate, Guildhall Yard.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1300; Obv inscription: IOHN.STOKES.AT (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = The Vintners' arms (in field); Rev inscription: YELD.HALL.GATE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.A.S. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
