The Three Tuns
John Maysey issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business at the sign of the Three Tuns, in Great Garden, St Katherine's (area now St Katherine's Docks), Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1262A; Obv inscription: IOHN.MAYSEY.AT.THE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Three tuns (in field); Rev inscription: GREAT.GARDN.IN.ST.KAT (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.A.M. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
