The Horseshoe
Michael Warren issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business at the sign of the Horseshoe, in Gracechruch Street.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1209; Obv inscription: MICHAELL.WARREN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A horseshoe (in field); Rev inscription: IN.GRATIOVS.STREET (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = M.A.W. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
