The New Coffee House Hall
This trade token, worth a penny, was issued at a coffee house, in Gracechurch Street.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1200; Obv inscription: NEW.COFFEE.HOVSE.HALL (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A dog (in field); Rev inscription: IN.GRACE.CHVRCH.STREET (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = TD conjoined and NB conjoined 1D and three small crowns (initials in Roman capitals, all in field).
